Radio Astronomy

Dr Melanie Johnston-Hollitt and Dr Hayley Bignall were involved in radio astronomy projects with the Australia Telescope National Facility  while doctoral candidates at Adelaide. Melanie left in 2002 to take up the position of LOFAR Fellow at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and Hayley left in 2003 to take up a position at the Joint Institute for VLBI in Europe (JIVE) which is also in the Netherlands.

Members of the Astrophysics Group at Adelaide have also been involved in supporting Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) experiments with the Australian Long Baseline Array .
